Looking for a place for your 5-11-year-old to go for the summer that is safe, secure and packed with things to do? Look no more, join us at the Watseka Park District for Summer Camp 2018.
Summer camps will begin June 11th and run each week ending on the 3rd of August. Camps will begin at 8:00 in the morning and end at 3:15 in the afternoon. Children ages 5 thru 11 are invited to attend. The camp schedule allows children to sign up by the week for camps they are especially interested in or they may sign up for all of the camps, which is a total of 7 weeks this year.
June 11-15 May the Force Be With You
If you are a fan of the galaxy world you will love this camp. Lots of things to do and lots of force to be with you!
June 18-22 Reptilian Cotillion
Have you ever seen a reptile dance? Probably not, but at this camp, you might be able to. Put reptiles and cotillions together and see what the summer brings.
June 25-29 Creature Feature
This isn’t the creature feature that scares you before bedtime. This is all sorts of fun as you feature all sorts of creatures and creature your own features. Trust us, you will like it!
If you like art you will like this camp. There are so many types of art and you can discover it, learn it and create your own masterpieces.
July 16-20 Pirates and Mermaids
‘Yar Matey! This camp is for you if you believe in the mysteries of the mermaids and the pirates of the high seas. Lots of swashbuckling fun!
July 23-27 Jumanji-MEmanji
There are so many adventures in a game of Jumanji. Let’s see if we can create as many adventures when we Memanji.
July 30-Aug 3 Cold is Bold
So we all like water…and most of us like melons and put them together and we all seem to like watermelons…how many ways can we turn that word inside out and upside down for summer fun?
Any child can attend all of the summer camps or a combination of camps or a single summer camp, whichever fits more conveniently into your personal schedule. All summer camps will include lunch and a snack. Children need to bring a water bottle with their name on it. Children should eat breakfast before coming to camp.
